Things To Follow For A Safe Drive In Rain



As Rain is around the corner and holiday season is starting, people driving in rain must be double cautious. Make sure your vehicle is in good health.Service your vehicles, Always keep fuel tank more than half.
Low Visibility
Here are some points which can help you in rains , especially newbie drivers.
Common Checkups:
  • Keep the windshield washer fluid topped up.
  • Check your wiper blades and change if not in good condition.
  • Check Ac Coolant level and working condition of blower. Without blower,  mist will accumulate on windshield, Decreasing visibility.
  • Keep your fog lights or head lights ON.
  • Always keep your phone charged and Use navigation , easy to miss road on rainy drive. 
  • Try and drive in middle of road, There could be a manhole or a deep puddle on road side.
  • Avoid High speeds and sudden braking, There is a chance of someone rear-ending your vehicle or vehicle loosing its ground balance.
  • Make sure your wheels have enough thread for a rainy drive.
  • In city driving, follow a lane or a similar vehicle, Will help you spot potholes.
  • Avoid tailing heavy vehicles on highway, As the water spray from its tyres  will impair your vision.
  • Always keep a first aid kit in your dashboard.
  • Never park on road and keep hazard blinkers ON while parking roadside.
  • Never push yourself to drive if visibility is very low.
  • Use indicators while changing lanes and strictly no sudden lane change.
  • Never drive through flood unless you know the depth. Wait for any bigger vehicle to cross over or take alternate route.
  • Try to keep your fuel tank more than half, Because you never know when you will be hit by a jam.
  • Always Keep watch on 2-wheelers coming in your way. It will be difficult for them to ride and they prefer riding in middle of the road.
  • Always use horns and deep light, Be it straight road, overtaking or corners.
Rain & Fog = More Risk
Here are some cheat codes, In case there is any mechanical failure or any problem on road use these as backup.
  • Always keep 2-3 shampoo sachet or Tobacco, In case wiper goes off you can rub these on windshield for a better visibility.This magic works good.
  • Keep a strong knife in tool box. It is very likely that trees fall blocking roads during rainy season, so be prepared to cut them to make way.
  • Keep a hammer, in case car goes off or doors are jammed, you can come out breaking window.
  • Keep a torch,umbrella and matchbox in your dashboard.
  • Try to have a  power bank to charge your phones.
  • Make sure you have everything in tool box.keep a puncture kit too, if possible.
